Why these worked
Start with the kitchen
The kitchen is our first major commitment, so we want to start with a measured modular-kitchen proposal. We'll keep full-home coordination in consideration once we understand how much help we need across the other rooms.
Plan the fitted storage
Both need to be planned around the actual rooms. The wardrobe should suit what we own and leave enough clearance around the bed, while the bathroom vanity needs useful storage without making the space feel tighter.
Keep the living room wall useful
Closed storage and cable management matter more to us than making the wall purely decorative. We'll keep the surrounding finish simple and revisit wallpaper only after the main unit is planned.
Plan lighting and window treatments together
We want useful task lighting where we need it and softer evening light in the living room. For the windows, shared spaces should keep good daylight while the bedrooms need better privacy and darkness.
Add one simple finishing touch
A simple indoor plant would give the room some life without adding another permanent design decision. Candles and fresh flowers are nice alternatives, but we'd rather start with something that can stay in the room.
